Vagusnerv-Stimulation hilft gegen Depression

Mit gezielten elektrischen Reizen am Vagusnerv lassen sich depressive Patienten auch unter Praxisbedingungen gut behandeln. Etwa ein Drittel der ansonsten therapieresistenten Depressiven profitiert noch ein Jahr nach Implantation von dem Stimulator.
