…ist US-Amerikanerin und buddhistische Nonne in der Tradition des tibetischen Meditationsmeisters Chögyam Trungpa. Sie leitet das tibetische Kloster Gampo Abbey auf der kanadischen Insel Cape Breton. Neben Ayya Khema gehört Pema Chödrön heute zu den bekanntesten buddhistischen Lehrerinnen der Welt. Wie diese wurde sie Mutter, bevor sie ihre Gelübde als Nonne ablegte und ist somit bestens sowohl mit dem weltlichen als auch dem geistlichen Leben vertraut.
