Antipsychotika verstärken virale Aktivität im Gehirn

Die Aktivität humaner endogener Retroviren (HERVs) in Gehirnzellen von Pa tienten mit Schizophrenie oder bipolaren Erkrankungen kann durch die Therapie mit Antipsychotika verstärkt werden. Das haben Wissenschaftler des Helmholtz Zentrums München herausgefunden (PLoS ONE 2012; 7(1): e30054).
