England: Mehr Suizide in der Finanzkrise
„London – Die Finanzkrise nach 2007 hat in England etwa 1000 Menschen das Leben gekostet. Um diese Zahl ist die Rate der Suizide gestiegen, wie Wissenschaftler im Britischen Ärzteblatt (BMJ 2012; 345: e5142) zeigen. Das soziale Netz ist in England traditionell weiter gestrickt als in Deutschland, bei Arbeitslosigkeit gibt es nur ein wöchentliches Taschengeld für die nötigten Ausgaben.“
