Agomelatin: Antidepressivum kann Leber schädigen
„Bonn – Das Antidepressivum Agomelatin (Valdoxan®/Thymanax®) kann – vor allem in den ersten Behandlungsmonaten und nach einer Dosissteigerung – einen deutlichen Anstieg der Leberenzymwerte auslösen. Da es seit der Markteinführung im Jahr 2009 immer wieder zu schwerwiegenden Fälle einer Hepatotoxizität kam, einschließlich sechs Fällen von Leberinsuffizienz, hat das Bundesinstitut für Arzneimittel und Medizinprodukte (BfArM) im Einvernehmen mit der Europäischen Arzneimittelagentur jetzt die Fachinformationen ergänzt.“
